ENCINA for AIX 1.1.2 _wait scripts and sfs import documentation

Question:

The customer has the latest InfoExplorer documentation for Encina for AIX
version 1.1.2. The information he is looking for in not found in the
documentation.

He has the following questions:

1. Documentation for the ppc_wait() and sfs_wait() routines
2. Documentation for the "sfsadmin import" file format

Response:

1.These are shell scripts located in /usr/lpp/encina/bin. They are used to
check if a specified encina server is available. The help for the command
scripts will be displayed when they are invoked with no arguments.

Here is the help for each one:

logserver_wait

Usage: logserver_wait \ [-a] [-t timeToWait] [-s serverType]

sfs_wait

Usage: sfs_wait \ [-a] [-t timeToWait] [-s serverType]

ecm_wait

Usage: ecm_wait \ [-a] [-t timeToWait] [-s serverType]

enm_wait

Usage: enm_wait \ [-a] [-t timeToWait] [-s serverType]

Here is some addition information about these scripts:

   1) ecm_wait: Takes the cell name as parameter and returns when the
cell manager is ready to accept remote calls.

   2) enm_wait Takes the node manager name its only parameter and returns
when the node manager is ready to accept remote calls.

   3) logserver_wait Takes the logserver name and returns when the
logserver is ready to accept remote calls. With a "-a"
switch the script returns when the administrative
interface is readyto accept remote calls. Otherwise the
script waits for the log manager interface to be ready to
                accept remote calls.

   4) ppc_wait Takes the name of the gateway server and return when the
server is ready to accept remote calls.

   5) sfs_wait Takes the name of the SFS server and returns when the
server is ready to accept remote calls. If a "-a"
switch is specified then the script waits for the
administrative interface to be ready to accept remote
                calls.

2. The documentation about the sfsadmin import file format is missing from
the existing Encina for AIX documentation. It is supposed to be be in
the SFS Programmer's Reference Appendix E.
