How to create refuse files with SUPPER for various nodes?

Question:

How do I build a refuse file so that supper will not update
certain files on various nodes. In my example I am not
using scan files and I add /etc/environment to the
/var/sysman/sup/user.admin/refuse. When I run supper update
on the node the refuse file gets zeroed out; thus /etc/environment
gets updated on this node. How do I build the refuse file?

Response:

On each node in /var/sysman/sup there is a refuse file. This
is the file that is to be updated by the user. The
/var/sysman/sup/\/refuse is a system-generated
file that is built based on the files listed in
/var/sysman/sup/refuse. The files listed in /var/sysman/sup/refuse
will be added to the refuse files located in each file collection
directory.

In your example you would add /etc/environment to
/var/sysman/sup/refuse. Then when supper update is run the
system will generate a refuse file in each file collection directory
that will contain /etc/environment. This will prevent /etc/environment
from being updated on this node by the supper server.

The two kinds of refuse files are documented in the SP2 Administration
Guide, Release 2 on page 173.
