8088 Machine Language Sort Subroutine for BASIC Language Programs In response to many requests, I am adding the BASORT files to the Yorktown PC disk. All files were uploaded using B3101. All files EXCEPT "BASORT BAS" are character files, so should be used with the RF command. The "BASORT BAS" is NOT a BASIC language program, regardless of what the filetype says. It is a BINARY file and must be downloaded with the RB command. When downloading, the filename/filetype remains the same, ie BASORT DOC downloads to the PC and becomes BASORT.DOC. The BASORT BAS file must remain BASORT.BAS but remember IT IS NOT A BASIC program. The file ext BAS is required as that is how I call it using the BLOAD statement within my test example. Rename it as you wish, just remember to update all references to the new filename.ext. Browse the BASORT DOC file to get general user information about BASORT and the various files I have included.
