Subject: Adjusting block size on Maxtor XT-8380S

A while back I posted a request for info on changing the block size of
my Maxtor XT-8380S from 1K back to 512 bytes. The responses I
received said to use the SCSICNTL program for MSDOS and the Adaptec
series of controllers.

Well, I tried SCSICNTL, and it doesn't allow me to modify the block
size. According to the author, he has not yet added that feature
(apologies to him if that info is out of date -- he told me this about
a month ago).

So, I'm looking for other methods. This drive is useless to me in its
current condition. Please help me!

TIA,
  Greg
