as you can see, I run with Bus-On at 15 and Off at 1.  This drives
are very, very fast indeed.

I have no problems accessing the floppy drives -- and everything runs
syncronous (3 hard drives and a tape are all SCSI)

I thought the 1522 is a dumb version of the 1542 designed for single
user operation (and non-buss mastering activities)..
