Hi,

If my questions are in some FAQ, please give me an exact pointer.

First, I have something to tell:
I'm planning to buy (in a few years) a good archiver device.
The purpose of this device is to store, for example, pictures,
sound samples -- that is, much data.

What is the price (price range) of the various 8mm tape archivers?

Also, I would like to that the datas are available after few years.
Is this possible at all?
My solution suggestions are:
-copy data from the old tapes frequently to the new tapes
or
-increase the level of error coding system
or both.
Is the latter 'solution' possible? Is it a solution at all?

Other devices than 8mm archiver?
