Hi Bob..
yes, I've been using their package for about4 weeks and overall I'm
very happy with it.

I purchased the package from DC Drives 1-800-872-6007 for less than $100
including next day delivery (can't remember the exact ammount).

The Corel package dosn't include a replacement for the Adaptec driver
(ASPI4DOS) but in fact builds upon it in the form of a CDROM driver,
a WORM/ERASABLE driver and tape backup software. My main reason for
purchasing the package was for the WORM driver which works very
well and at this point I must point out that their tech support via
Compuserve was excelant. I posted a question regarding using partially
used WORM drives which had been formatted by software other than theirs
and within 2 or 3 exchanges of messages I had some additional disks!!

Their CDROM support is not as widespread as Adaptec's when it comes to
music and I gather they are working on that but they do include
a neat Windows based musicbox which will works via MSCDEX and so will
work with the Adaptec drivers.

Now their tape drive support is another story!! Under DOS 5.0 and
ASPI4DOS 3.0a in conjunction with a Wangtek 5150ES everthing works
fine and I prefer it to SYPLUS. But under Windows 3.1 it crashes the
system whenever an attempt is made to write to the tape drive!! I
put in a call to their Tech support dept. on this one and got
nowhere so I tried sending a message to the Compuserve guy who had
helped me with the WORM stuff. He appeared enthusiastic at first
and I faxed him coppies of all relevent files etc. which he said
he would pass along to engineering well that was 2 weeks ago and
I'm still waiting. It's a real shame 'cause the Windows user interface
for the tape backup is real easy to use - so I'd like to use it!!

Any other questions post or Email me - Alan.
