DESCRIPTION

This program is a Windows GUI front-end for Todd Prater's POV-Ray
utility called FONT3D11.ZIP It was written using Visual Basic v3.0.
It is simply a shell for all the command line paramters.

INSTALLATION

This program requires VBRUN300.DLL to reside in your windows SYSTEM directory.
This program also requires that you already have Todd Prater's True Type
font/object generator for POV-Ray, version 1.1 found in FONT3D11.ZIP The file
required for this shell to run is called F3D-DOS.EXE

If you've unzipped this file onto your hard drive, first make sure all the files
are in the same directory. Run SETUP.EXE from the File Manager. It will create
a directory on your hard drive and copy the FONT3D Shell files there.

USING THE PROGRAM

This shell uses a PIF file that gets installed into your WINDOWS directory. You
may edit this file to your liking. You must select the 3 required options to
generate a POV-Ray include file. They are 'INPUT TRUE TYPE FILENAME',
'OUTPUT FILENAME', and 'TRUE TYPE CHARACTER'. All other options are either the
defaults, or optional. Please read the Windows HELP file that accompanies
this archive for more information.

VERSION HISTORY

Version 1.0 - 10/23/94

   Initial Beta Release

Version 1.1 - 10/29/94

Added the 'Generate All' option to generate ASCII characters from
    Ascii 33 (!) through Ascii 126 (~).

Added a font preview window by using the fonts dialog box. It does
not affect the output file, it is just to see what your selected
font file characters will look like.

Fixed a bug in the TTF filename selection if the *.TTF font file
did not reside in your SYSTEM directory. I have a ton of TTF files
that reside on a CD-ROM, so that part now works.

  * Polished it up by adding color, and various other cosmetic changes.
