            _D_e_s_c_r_i_p_t_i_o_n

            The JvNC  currently  offers  state-of-the-art  supercomputer
            resources  and  services.   The  center  has a large support
            staff  and  welcomes  users  with  no  prior  supercomputing
            experience.    The   JvNC   currently  supports  over  1,400
            researchers from more than 150 institutions.   The  JvNC  is
            sponsored by the National Science Foundation, the New Jersey
            Commission  on  Science  and  Technology,   and   Industrial
            Partners.

            JvNC offers the following resources:

            o+    Two (2) ETA10 Model E Supercomputers

            o+    Two (2) Cyber 205 Supercomputers

            o+    Two (2) DEC VAX 8600's running the VMS operating system

            o+    Two (2) DEC VAX 8600's  running  the  Ultrix  operating
                 system

            o+    Visualization Facilities include:

                 o+    PIXAR Image Computer

                 tates use of the supercomputers at JvNC.
