Is it possible to monitor the output channels of the GUS, without
affecting the voice being played?  One can get the position in memory
a voice is playing, but to read it, you have to change the active
voice.

Also, is there some easy way to determine which voices are actually
being used (not the number of active voices)?

I have a FFT routine and want to do real-time FFT's on data being
played.
