Description :
SPI.EXE - fast, simple viewer, which helps viewing large DXF,EMF,JPEG and TIF files.
DXF and EMF can be easy laid on a TIF or JPEG, without any reference definition procedure.
- Data formats supported TIF,JPG,DXF,EMF
- Uncompressed TIF can be 8 bit per channel - RGB, indexed and gray scale
- DXF is ASCII mode, 2D, wire frame drawing. Many of DXF group codes are not
processed yet, header constants either
- JPEG can be 8 bit per channel - RGB, and gray scale, baseline and
progressive
- Intel(r) JPEG Library v. 1.1 IJL11.DLL file from the distr package
should be in a working dir !
- Overlay
- Multiple file "Open" works as usual (select with Ctrl, order not
important). Command line loading also provided (quoting file names with blanks)
- For now, only one raster file can be used as a background for vector layers.
If files are opened one by one - raster should be the first.
If TIF/JPG presented, subsequent vector files are scaled to its extent.
If no raster files - first vector's extent is used
- Mounting point is fixed to upper-left corner. If DXF has no header,
scanning for min-max performed. If DXF header presented - all outside elements
are squeezed
- Currently opened TIF/JPG name, scale factor, DXF/EMF names with number of
blocks and layers, number of vertexes and number of text items appears on the
status bar
- Save
- Only raster saving implemented for now
- When indexed mono chanal TIF is saved to JPEG color information is
discarded
- JPEG saving quality [0-100] can be chosen using "Options-File" dialog
page
- By default, a preview image is saved into a TIF, as the
standard allows. This is useful for browsing by Open file dialog
- Copy
- Copy to clipboard command places currently viewed data to system
clipboard
- Print
- Print command sends currently viewed data a default printer
- Magnify
- "Zoom" step is x2 (100%), target is window center
- Max resolution for TIF - 4 point per pixel, for vector - 1/250000
- Rubber draw
- "Draw / length" tool shows coords in native format (pixels for TIF,
WCS for DXF)
- To stop drawing - Esc or right mouse button. To clear - trash button on the
tool bar
- Current display settings
- A window background color, default font and default character set can be
chosen by the "Options" dialog in the "Drawing"page
- To ensure that changes occur, reloading is sometimes required
- Current setting are saved into SPI.INI text file. To restore
default settings - delete (or edit) SPI.INI file in a working dir
- Layers
- "Layers lighting" switches visibility flag for elements in a
corresponding layer
- First item for each file in the pull down list is for on/off all layers in
a file
- EMF seems entirely flat, so layer tags attributed to color
- Searching
- All text strings are dumped regardless of duplicating and appears at the
"Text search" list box
- Peek list item to move to its location in a drawing
- Quick moving
- "Quick move" panel, stuck to the upper-right corner, helps jumping
thru an image randomly
- To move - drag red rect to proper place and drop it
- To hide the panel - pop the button
- Trash
- Clears all, layer by layer, starting from user made rubber drawing
