One thing about doing daycamp, one gets a lot of new craft ideas to do with
kids. Here are a few I've seen:

Picture frames made of popsicle sticks, decorated with construction paper
designs in the "theme" of the day.

Hiking sticks made of 1/2-inch dowel rods, with a small "first aid kit"
attached to it with a string and red plastic tape (first aid kit is a film
canister containing a packaged wet wipe and a bandaid).

Hair doo dads made of a thick hair band and strips of fabric. Nine strips of
fabric 1 1/2inches by 12 inches are pinked at the edges and then tied all
together onto the thick hair band. Very colorful!

Windsocks made of the centers of 2 liter soda bottles and strips of crepe paper
or nylon (fabric is more durable). The 2 liter soda bottles had their tops and
bottoms cut off, leaving the part that the label would have covered (labels
were removed). The girls decorated those with puffy paint. The string to hang
the windsocks and the nylon strips were all stapled on.
