07/24/93 v0.01 Initial general beta release

07/30/93 v0.02 Fixed a problem where there was no
space between a password and time
                         stamp on update requests.

Fixed a problem where some files
                         were displayed as "Missing" and
                         they were not.

                         Fixed a problem where "<" and ">"
could be prefixed to request or
                         send files request.

.TIC files, if present, will now
show up with the node they belong
to. If a tick file is orphaned, it
will have an address of "N/A".

.BSY files are now displayed with a
                         node number.

                         Added file filtering. This is
option is located in the menu bar
                         "Options" menu. File filtering
gives you the option of "filtering"
what files in the outbound will be
                         displayed.

Add the option to prefix a file to
be sent with "#" for truncate when
sent and "~" for kill file when
                         sent.

Added an option to suppress "Are
You Sure" messages. This option is
set via a check box in the
                         configuration dialog.

If an orphaned ArcMail Bundle or
".REQ" file is selected an option
has been added to "UN-ORPHAN" the
                         selected item.

        08/07/93 v0.03 Got a little confused and used '~'
for kill sent instead '^' for kill
                         sent. This problem also caused
".TIC" files to not show up with
                         the correct node.

When the flavor was changed on a
packet or flo file, and another
existed of the same type, SOB
                         displayed a file rename error
message. What now occurs, is you

are prompted if you want to merge
                         the two files.

                         Started adding the online help.
Though not complete, I expect to
add more each release of SOB. The
frequency of the beta release will
be determined by the number of bug
                         reports I receive.

                         Changed the "Change Zone" dialog.
Instead of prompting for a zone
number, the dialog presents a list
                         of existing outbounds. Selecting
one of the outbounds will cause
that directory to be the active
                         outbound.

08/18/93 v0.04 Fixed a bug where SOB went into a
loop in the cleanup routines, when
Binkley had a file open that was
                         the to be cleaned up.

On the send file dialog, add a
                         "Files Dialog" button. What this
does, is presents a pick list of
files in a directory (of your
choice). You can then select one
or multiple files you want to send.

                         Added keyboard accelerator tables.
For instance, if you want to
generate a poll press ALT+P. The
                         menus have the associated
                         accelerator key for each menu
                         selection.

09/08/93 v0.05 This version includes the long
awaited node list editor. The node
list editor is a fully functional
editor allowing you to browse the
                         nodelist, change a nodes data,
                         insert new nodes, and delete
                         existing nodes. To make life
easier, the online help for the
                         nodelist editor is complete and
                         included.

                         Fixed a problem (misunderstanding
on my part) where an outbound with
an extension (.002) was for zones
other than zone 1. (I know, yankee
                         ego). SOB now recognizes the
                         "home" outbound has no extension
and a foreign zone outbound has the
                         zone number as an extension.

Fixed a couple of other bugs, but I
                         forgot to document them here.

09/19/93 v0.06 Held off on releasing beta 5
because of traps when doing a
search of the nodelist using a
SysOp name, when SOB is run in a
                         Lan Server 3.0 peer-to-peer
                         environment.

All of the nodelist access stuff is
                         now contained in V7NL.DDL. My
hopes are to document this API so
                         that other's wishing to develop
OS/2 apps using the V7 nodelist can
                         easily do so.

                         Fixed a problem verifying the
existance of a subdirectory in a
                         Lan Environment.

09/25/93 v0.07 The entire actions menu is now
                         displayed when selecting the last
                         entry on the outbound window.

                         Another slight problem encountered.
It seems that during a nodelist
search, the entire desk top was
locked for the duration of the
                         search.

Squashed a real nasty bug where
                         your entire outbound could be
                         deleted.

        10/17/93 v0.08 Due to popular and un-yielding
                         requests, SOB now supports points.
This support is the same as the 4D
                         support provided by Binkley 2.50+.
Mail destined for a point will
                         appear with other outbound mail
                         from your main mail outbound.

New function on the MISC menu that
allows you to delete all mail for a
                         specific node.

Added hot keys to the actions menu.

Used *.?LO instead of *.?UT type
                         files when generating polls and
file requests. It made no sense to
transmit an empty packet file when
a FLO file would do the same thing
                         without a "do
                         nothing" packet being transmitted.
This also means that deletion of
empty file attach as a cleanup
                         option is now gone.

When the last or only entry in a
.REQ file is deleted, the .REQ file
is deleted. If the same thing
occurs with a .FLO file, you will
be asked if you want the .FLO file
                         deleted.

                         When re-addressing, and the new
address is in a different zone, SOB
just renamed the item and did not
move the object to the correct
                         outbound.
