The companies will co-develop additional products to enhance network management and significantly reduce network downtime. The initial offering will be ExpressView Companion, a facilities management, inventory and debugging package, developed by dTech and sold by DSI. ExpessView Companion will exchange information with DSI's ExpressView SNMP-based Network Management Software, Novell's Lantern, and SynOptics' network management products. Using technology drawn from dTech's Heaven Nodes product, ExpressView Companion will run under Windows 3.x. ExpressView also runs under Windows, making integration of the products easy using DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange) techniques.
