You are asked *NOT* to distribute sigart.txt separately. This is a collection of _publicly_ posted, flamboyant, witty, or twitty signatures from the UseNet news. In a way signatures are a part of interesting subcultures with trends of their own. The samples are in no particular order. I'll leave all the analyzing and conclusions entirely to the gentle readers. Speaking of analysis I am a little surprised that sociologists have not yet more discovered the rich source of data the communications on the Usenet news could provide. A whole novel culture to explore. A global culture with unique characteristics of its own that never has existed before in the history of mankind. In fact, I have suggested such a joint (serious) research project to a professor of sociology, but it did not catch on. Although they might be enjoyable for awhile in a sense, many of them are overly long and in direct breach of what is called the UseNet netiquette.
