WinTapestry ®

This is a fully functional version of the WinTapestry application that
is included in the SuperHighway Access for Windows product that will be
available from Frontier Technologies Corporation.  WinTapestry supports
many different protocols including Gopher+, WWW, and CSO, and is fully
Windows Sockets compliant.

*** Standard Installation ***

WinTapestry is a Windows Sockets application that is currently self 
contained in a single ZIP archive.  Simply extract the files into a
directory and add the file TAPESTRY.EXE to your program group.

WinTapestry comes with a default Internet Organizer with many 
preconfigured Internet resources available to you.  If you do not 
find the resources you want in the Internet Organizer, you can easily
add additional items to the Internet Organizer as you find them on the
Internet by using drag and drop from the Gopher Tree View window, or by
using the File|Connect menu item.  This menu item allows you to simply
type in the hostname and the type of protocol to use, or you can enter
a complete Uniform Resource Locator (URL).


*** Changes from WINTAP-1.EXE ***

    1)  Tapestry will now work around the problem with some Winsock stacks
    which erroneously assume that input parameters to WSAAsyncGetHostByName()
    are permanent and therefore do not make their own local copies of those
    parameters (e.g., Trumpet and NetManage, possibly others).  Users who saw
    frequent hostname lookup failures before will see improved reliability.
    This problem was characterized by a "No data" error when trying to start
    a Gopher session.

    2)  The WWW session problems which produced "404 Document not found" or
    "403 Forbidden" when you click on an existing hyperlink are fixed.

    3)  The WWW window supports Telnet and Tn3270 hyperlinks, as well as the
    Add Bookmark and Save As menu items.

    4)  A number of general cleanups were made, including some improvements
    to the WWW display.


*** Requirements ***

This program requires Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups 3.11.  
WinTapestry contains an internal viewer for images in many of the
most popular formats, including GIF and JPEG, but other file types
will require external programs for viewing.  See the online
documentation for details.

the F1 key at any time while running WinTapestry.


*** Demo testing Period ***

Thank You for testing WinTapestry.  The demo period 
for WinTapestry will expire on August 31, 1994.

package soon to be available from Frontier Technologies Corp.  SuperHighway
Access for Windows includes a complete set of full-featured applications 
like a Drag and Drop FTP Client, SMTP/POP2-3/MIME Email with rules and
hierarchical folders, a News Reader, Vt100, WinTapestry, and a complete 
Windows Sockets TCP/IP kernel with SLIP/CSLIP/PPP dial-up support with 
many preconfigured Internet providers.
