  This Zip file contains four historical missions created for
  Red Baron Mission Builder, all involving the one pilot, an 
  Australian Ace, Captain John W. Wright DFC.

  INSTALLATION

  Simply unzip the file, and copy all 5 files:

	WRIGHT4.CUS
  to your \REDBARON\CUSTOM subdirectory. The missions can then 
  be selected from the CUSTOM MISSION menu in RED BARON.

  HISTORY
  -------
  John Wright was born at Quirindi, New South Wales, Australia
  in January 1893. He joined the Australian Light Horse at the
  outbreak of WW 1 in 1914, and transferred to No.4 Squadron,
  Australian Flying Corps 2 years later.
  Throughout the 1918 offensives in France, Wright was heavily
  engaged in offensive air operations, being wounded and receiving
  the Distinguished Flying Cross. He survived the war to finish
  with a dozen victories.

  Flying Corps", pages 239, 353, 359, 364 and 438.)

  WRIGHT1.CUS
  ----------- 
  Wright strafes the Hun : 25 March 1918
  --------------------------------------
  The German Spring Offensive opened on 21 March 1918, and
  No.4 Squadron, Australian Flying Corps was heavily engaged
  in operations to hinder it. On this day Wright led a successful
  fighter sweep, during which he was badly wounded by ground fire.
  You are Wright. Take off from St Pol (Somme map D4) and fly east
  to Valenciennes (D8) at 5000 feet, destroying any German 
  machines or balloons you encounter. Return to St Pol.

  WRIGHT2.CUS
  -----------
  Wright strikes back : 1 September 1918
  --------------------------------------
  Returning to No.4 Squadron after being wounded in March 1918,
  Wright was leading a patrol of Sopwith Camels south of Armentieres,
  when a large group of Fokkers was seen attacking a solitary R.E.8.
  Wright forthwith flew to engage, scattering the Fokkers and downing
  several.
  You are Wright. You must rescue the R.E.8, down as many German
  machines as you can, and return to St Pol.
  This is a hard mission.

  WRIGHT3.CUS
  -----------
  Wright's Flying Circus : 6 September 1918
  -----------------------------------------
  With S.E.5a's flying top cover, Wright led a flight of Camels over
  the lines towards Douai. A large group of Fokkers was engaged and
  destroyed.
  You are Wright. Dogfight any enemy machines you encounter, the return
  to St Pol. Beware of low level mist concealing the ground.

  WRIGHT4.CUS
  -----------
  Wright gives chase : 28 September 1918
  --------------------------------------
  In co-operation with the Allied ground offensive, No.4 Squadron
  bombed villages and railway stations outside Lille. In the evening
  Wright, leading a patrol of Camels, sighted and chased 8 Fokkers
  near Lille. Wright caught up to the rearmost Fokker and destroyed it,
  but the others escaped.
  You are Wright. Destroy as many enemy machines as you can, then
  return to St Pol.

  CONCLUSION

  I hope you enjoy these vignettes from the service life of
  a little known Australian Ace, who also happens to have been
  my great-uncle.
