*** ANNOUNCING THE RELEASE OF ***

RMM FP/w - A Flight Planner for Flight Simulators (for Windows)

RMM-FP (for DOS) and RMM-FP/w (for Windows) are Flight Planning packages
designed expressly for the Microsoft/SubLOGIC brand Flight Simulators
(FS) and matching scenery disks (SD). As such, the packages will not
overwhelm you with useless navigational aids and waypoints that are not
available in the FS world. Only FS and SD data are built into the
packages. Real world navaids and airports that are not part of the FS
world are not included. Major features offered by the Windows version
include the following...

FLIGHT PLANNING
Manual as well as computer generated flight plans (just specify the
Origination & Destination points, and RMM FP/w will plot an entire flight
plan for you). Flight plans are automatically computed to take into
account: (1) Wind effect on heading and speed and (2) Additional time
required during climbs and descents due to slower speeds (the altitude
from airport to cruise is also a factor).

COMPUTER GENERATED flight plans allow you to tailor the algorithm used to
search for points to place in your flight plan. You can set the search
engine to be IFR (VOR's/NDB's), modified IFR (mainly VOR's/NDB's -
airports may be included), VFR (Airports/VFR References), or Both (using
any navaid). Furthermore, the search range (in miles) can be set along
with the weighting of the point selection criteria (between shortest-
distance and straightest-course).

REPORTING
RMM FP/w offers Detail reporting of flight plans to printer, Summary
reporting to screen and printer, Compuserve's FSFORUM Flyin report format
to printer and file (for uploading), and high-resolution plotting (of
flight plans, altitude profiles, and database maps) to screen and printer
(complete with USA map outline, canted VOR symbols, and Prefix/Frequency
labels). Detail flight plans include course headings (magnetic and wind-
corrected), navaid prefix and description, scenery disk number, state,
north/east coordinates, VOR/NDB/ATIS frequencies, airport facilities
(Fuel, VASI, ILS, ATIS), all runways (including runway numbers, lengths,
ILS frequencies, and Inner/Middle/Outer marker distances), distance to
next point, estimated time enroute (ETE), blank space for filling in
actual time enroute (ATE), climb/cruise/descent instructions (covering
climb/descent rates to use, altitude to climb/descend to, speed to cruise
at, and distance to start descent from), and more!

UTILITIES
RMM FP/w provides Utilities to calculate: (1) Wind correction headings
and effective ground speed; (2) when to start descents given altitude,
descent rate, and speed; (3) rate of descent to use given altitude,
distance, and speed; (4) Turn Performance (time to turn 360 degrees,
stall speed in a turn), (5) landing rollout, and (6) Temperature effects.
Another option allows you to jump to a DOS prompt without having to exit
RMM FP/w and/or find the command under Windows.

DATABASE EDITOR
Complete database editor with ability to (1) display current database
points/locations sorted by either prefix or description; (2) Plot a map
of all navaids or just those within a certain number of miles from a
given location; (3) Add/Edit/Delete information in the databases; and (4)
Re-sort/index the database. For all you A&SD SCENERY designers out
there, the licensed version of RMM FP/w allows you to add and/or edit the
databases so you can incorporate any new airport or navaid you create.
Note: The evaluation version of RMM FP/w has the File-Save/SaveAs and
Database-Add/Edit/Delete menu commands disabled and includes only the FS
Default scenery area. All other commands are completely functional.

WINDOWS GUI INTERFACE
RMM FP/w takes full advantage of the Windows interface; including
resizeable windows, pull-down menus, copy images to clipboard, screen
printing, standard open-save-saveas dialogs, printer-setup dialog, device
independent printing of reports/plots/and maps, Windows 3.x help files,
etc.

AIRCRAFT LIBRARY
RMM FP/w can maintain a library of all the FS aircraft you fly. It will
store your individual flying characteristics including climb rate/speed,
cruise alt/speed, descent rate/speed, and notes. Use this library for
instant updating of flight plan information due to aircraft changes.

EXTENSIVE HELP
Detailed Windows 3.0 help files employing hypertext jumps, indexes,
point-and-click definitions, and cross-reference searching features.
Each help file can run stand-alone with Window's WINHELP.EXE or directly
from within RMM FP/w. Help files cover how to use RMM FP/w, Tips on
using FS, and FS related add-ons/utilities that are available.
