                Modrip v1.0, (C) Copyright 1994

                Written by Stuart Carnie

1. What does it do?

Basically, all it does is searches the search file for the standard
module tokens, such as M.K. and FLT8. When it finds one of these, it
loads the header of the module, calculates the expected size of the
file, and then writes this data out, in the form of:
        MODULE0.MOD
        MODULE1.MOD
          .
          .
          .
depending on the number of mods it finds within the file.

It's really just a time saver. It won't rip modules such as .S3M's
(yet), or modules that are compressed withing the file.

2. What do you owe me?

In one word... NOTHING. I wrote it for my own use, and I'm sure someone
else has or could write functionally the same program, so use it at your
own risk and free will. BUT, it is (semi)cardware, and if you would like to
keep using it, a postcard would be nice (I'd like to see where this
program gets to ;)

3. Revision History

v1.21 - Another minor BUG fix :(
I really don't know where they are coming from...
           - the bug was showing itself if BC 3.1 wasn't run...
             Very strange!

v1.2 - MAJOR stupid, stupid, stupid bug
          Fixed file handling/memory/string manipulation
           - Basically, after v1.1 changes, modrip DIDN'T work :(
           - Tested PROPERLY now!

v1.1 - First official public release
          Just some minor internal changes

v1.0 - The birth of MODrip
          Never released, just beta tested

4. Future Plans (if cohersed)

         S3M support
          - ripping future crew music
         GUS support
          - You can listen to mods without extracting them!
         Proper interface
          - Menu
          - Scans through file, and shows all possibilities, with
            unlikely mods shown, marked.
         Improved searching algorithm for S P E E D . . .
          - can anyone give me ideas for better file searching?
Possible using song names for creating file names.
         Other suggestions from users

5. Greetings

        To all my Australian buddies!

6. Legal Dribble

Well basically, I've written this for my own use, and decided,
with the number of people who like to rip mods out, I'd release it. Under
NO, NONE or ANY circumstances WHATSOEVER do I expect this program to
perform how I originally intended it (ie, if it erases your hard disk, kills
files, or sings backwards????, it was not the fault of the original
program) - but if the archive is in it's original state, it should
hopefully be ok :). If you also lose money, or anything else through
the use of this program (don't ask me how!), tough luck, because it
is FREE, although donations are graciously accepted to keep me updating :).

Oh, BTW, please atleast leave ALL the original files included in the archive.
