This README.TXT file describes the minimum system requirements and usage of "Montessori Sensorial Lessons #1 - Demo Version". ***************************************************** IMPORTANT! Before going any further, please read and accept the terms in the License Agreement. ***************************************************** The Montessori Sensorial Lessons #1 software includes 4 Montessori based manipulatives in the registered version and 1 manipulative in the demonstration version. Windows '95 or later with DirectX support is required for this software. The latest DirectX drivers are available for downloading at the Microsoft web site (http:/www.microsoft.com/DIRECTX). The video output card must be able to produce a screen of 640x480 pixels and 16- bit (high) color. Each manipulative requires a mouse or similar input device to operate. The minimum system requirements for the IBM compatible PC are: 486/66 processor 8 megabytes of system RAM 2x CD-ROM drive 16-bit sound card Hi color capable color video card SVGA monitor (800x600 resolution) mouse/trackball/touchpad Windows '95 or higher. Help on how to use the program is contained on the main screen of the user interface through the interesting information button. This information describes each manipulative and the activities they present. Additional interesting information includes video clips on selected topics. The software is based on the Montessori based manipulative series and adheres as closely as possible to the primary and secondary lessons each one conveys. The manipulatives are accessed through the main program screen by clicking their button. The program is exited by clicking the stop icon in the lower right corner of the main program control screen. There are no brightness/contrast and sound level controls in the program since these functions are handled through the operating system and hardware. The full version of the software contains alternative languages. The desired language is selected through the program main screen and converts the sounds and help documents to English, French, German, or Spanish. Additional languages will be added.
