KiddieVest (Version 1.0) FREEWARE

This program is designed to teach children the fundamentals of saving money.

The program illustrates the concept of compunding interest and the impact time

has on the growth of money.  Children from the ages of 7 years to 12 years may

derive the most benefit although teenagers often need the concepts reinforced. 


INSTALLATION

The program is delivered in a zipped format or self-extracting format. Unzip the program before setting up.  Continue as below.

Shut down all programs that may be running in the background.  Failure to do so may result in an unsuccessful installation.  During the initialization, certain Windows system files are updated.  Since we do not know the status of the Windows system files on each computer, we have distributed the entire set.

Insert floppy Disk 1 into drive A (or find the setup icon in the directory where the program was unzipped if it already resides on your hard drive).  From the “Run” option under File, Type ?:\setup (where ? is the drive where the progam is located).  The program will initialize the files required and set up the application in a default directory. 

Program requires Windows 95.

Disk space required, approximately 3 Mb for installation.  Depending on the number of Windows system files already on your computer, the actual space required for new or updated files may be less.

STATUS OF PROGRAM

Currently, TAP Software offers Version 1.0 as Freeware.  TAP Software grants you the right to use and distribute this program freely.

However, you may not decompile, reverse engineer of change this program in any way.  TAP Software retains all rights to this program

now and in the future.  TAP Software retains ownership of this program.

This software is copyrighted property.


FIXES

There are no known bugs.  If you develop difficulties, please send us an email directly from the program

and let us know what problem you are having.  As alway, we welcome all comments and suggestions.


REQUIRED FILES

The program ships without three common files used by many programs.  In the unlikely event you do not have the files in your

system directory, you can download a free copy from URL: http://www.simtel.net/simtel.net/win95/dll.html

Currently the files are included in the package vb40032.zip.  The files are:

vb40032.dll, olepro32.dll and msvcrt40.dll.  The files can also be downloaded through our website at

http://www.tapsoftware.com  Each of the three files should be placed in your Windows/System directory.
