ReadMe Text for Storyboard v1.0 Storyboard v1.0 is a simple storyboard maker which you may find useful for small projects and presentations. It is of particular use to Children Picture Book Authors, Cartoonists, Animators and Film Makers. Quick Start: ========= Start Storyboard.exe Load a resource by locating a directory with image files as per image load type. Select your first file using the left mouse button, and hold the SHIFT key down: ...selecting each next file you require. Scroll the side bar down the list of images, selecting as you go. Or simply choose the last image in the profile to select everything. Press Okay. Go to the ScriptEditor, and either load a previously saved script, or make a new one: ...Select an item in the list. Press into the Edit bay. Write your script. Press the Write-to-scene button. Choose Close. This script is now active to the current range of images, with each scene descriptor correlating to the selected image. Getting More Pictures Loaded: ======================= In loading your images, there is a limitation on the file-name property. This will be removed in v1.2. For now, the actual name of each file inhibits the loading amount. So, a file name such as : GretalFliesABigKiteOnTheHillTop.bmp, (times by however many you are loading) would take more resource to open then: g01.bmp (times by however many you are loading). It also makes sense to name your sequential image loads to something useful such as g01, g02, etc..., as this determines the order in which the load window will structure the file names. Files named as: 1, 2, 3..... will end up out of sequence under standard window filename sorts. Placing the zero in front of the first decimal range prevents this from happening. If you really need to know that Gretal is flying a big kite on the hilltop, rename your directory folder to the larger name, and place all common g01, g02 etc files inside. Limitations: ========= This freeware version of Storyboard v1.0 has a limitation of displaying around 500 images per session(using small form load names). To run even more images, open a new instance of Storyboard.exe. A minimum load of 9 images are required to fulfill at least one page of the storyboard. A pack of images are included to show how this works. For smaller image loads use any standard picture viewer, such as Windows' own free viewer. Installing: =========== To begin, double-click the Setup.exe file. To install this product, you may need to reset your machine and re-install over. This occurs when the supplied components are deemed more recent than your current versions. If this occurs, follow the on-screen instructions, shut down your computer, and again choose Setup.exe to install the product. Follow instructions upon the screen. Uninstalling: ============= Use the Add/remove utility supplied with Windows to remove all these components. Clean up any existing files by manually deleting personal saves, text files etc. Registration: ============= This is the full product (v1.0) and requires no registration or payment.
