F.A.Q. for Puzzle-Mania. Q: When I run Puzzle-Mania, nothing happens. A: If your graphic card does not support modes in resolution 640*480 with 256 colors, this happens. This might also happen if any file is missing from the Puzzle-Mania catalogue. Try to reinstall Puzzle-Mania to correct this. Q: When I run Puzzle-Mania, it loads the palette, then it terminates itself. A: Puzzle-Mania will end itself if the size of the free conventional memory is not large enough to satisfy the game. Try to make a boot disk with less drivers installed. Q: There is a slight time-delay before the animations kick in. A: In order for the game to use as little memory as possible, the animations are loaded from the hardrive before the actuall animation. If your hardrive is slow, the loading time will increase along with the time-delay between input and animation. Q: The animations are no where near 16 frames per second. A: Your computer and/or graphic card is to slow. Q: When I run Puzzle-Mania from windows 95, and switch between programs, I can't switch back to the game, instead, it is terminated. A: Puzzle-Mania is at first look a dos game, but windows 95 can run it. However, if you want to be able to switch between applications you must first press the "w" key, this prepares Puzzle-Mania for the switch. When you wish to return to your current game press the "r" key. No extra scores will be added to your total score while Puzzle-Mania is in windowed mode. Q: The mouse doesnt work. A: If you are in dos mode, make sure that you have installed the mouse drivers into memory. Q: There is no sound. A: First, make sure that you have the sound toggled on. If there still isn't any sound, your computer probably does not have a built in speaker. Q: The colors looks ugly. A: Your monitor is probebly to old. Some old monitors does this.
