Puzzle-Mania is a puzzle game, and as any other puzzle games, the object is to put the puzzle-pieces back together in the right order. Puzzle-Mania has some difference though, you cant just move the pieces in anyway you want. The puzzle-pieces in Puzzle-Mania are in the shape of squares and can only be moved up, down, left or right. The number of such pieces can be chosen between 15, 19 or 24 pieces, after your own choice. There is always one piece missing to make a free space so that the other pieces are able to move. A puzzle piece can only be moved if there is a free space in the same column or row. Keep in mind, more than one piece can be moved in one move. ie, if you click on a piece that is not next to a free space but has a free space on the same column or row, it will be moved together with any piece(s) that might be in the way. This can be used to lower your score. If you click on a piece that is locked, ie, does not have a free space in the same column or row, nothing will happen. If you move all the pieces so that they are placed in the right order, the game is completed, and if you have made a highscore, the hall of fame will pop up and ask you for your name. 2. The scores. Your goal in Puzzle-Mania is to complete the game with as LOW score as possible. Your score will increase every time you move any puzzle-piece(s). The amount of points added to your total score is calculated from three different factors: 1. Difficulty level ( number of puzzle-pieces ). 2. Time spent for makeing a move. 3. A score for the move itself. When you start a new game, a scoreboard will pop up at the top of the puzzle machine. The score will not go any higher then 999999, and if you reach this limit, the game is over. The score calculations between different difficulty levels is in some cases not comperable, ie, if you receive the same score in 15 pieces difficulty as you receive in 19 pieces difficulty, it does not mean that those scores are equal. 3. The menu-drawer. On the puzzle machines left side is a drawer with a silver handle. If you click on the handle, it will open up and show you the game menu. click on the handle again and the drawer closes itself. To make a choice in the menu, click on one of the silver buttons that is located on the left of the text menu. The nine different menu choices are: "Start a new game"- This will restart the game, and if you are currently playing the game, the message drawer will pop up and say "This will end the current game". click "ok" if you want to end the current game, click "cancel" to continue your current game.
