WEBSITE PROFESSIONAL(TM) ASP SUPPORT SETUP

This setup application creates the settings needed to use Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP) with WebSite Professional. We have provided this application for those who wish to upgrade to WebSite Pro from the free built-in Microsoft server and continue to use Microsoft ASP 1.0. 

ASP 2.0 (part of IIS 4.0) is not compatible with other web servers, for alternative multi-platform ASP support, see ChiliASP at http://www.chilisoft.com/. If you wish to run ChiliSoft's ChiliASP, this setup application is not required.

Before installing WebSite Professional ASP support, please note the following:

(1) You must have Microsoft Internet Information Server 3.0 (IIS) or Personal Web Server 3.0 (PWS) and you must have installed Active Server Pages 1.0 for IIS (or PWS). It is not necessary to run either server. ASP 1.0 is an option which you may need to download and install (or install from Microsoft-supplied media) separately.

(2) Active Server Pages is a Microsoft product. Any questions about its operation or functionality should be directed to Microsoft Technical Support.

(3) WebSite Professional version 2 provides the ISAPI-compliant interface needed to run ASP 1.0, plus administrative tools designed to make configuring ASP easier.

If you have not yet installed ASP 1.0, please do so now. This application will not run unless ASP 1.0 is installed beforehand.
