Description: ChronoView provides a chronological view of the documents that have been opened, and the applications that opened them, on a computer using Microsoft® Windows 95® or Windows NT® 4.0. ChronoView monitors the opening of documents and stores "shortcuts" to the documents and their parent applications by the day the document was opened. ChronoView can display a history of the documents that were opened on a given day, which provides several benefits: -ChronoView makes it easy to resume work on documents that you opened on a previous day. -ChronoView can find documents that were opened on certain day(s). ("I can't remember the name of the document, but I remember that I worked on it last Monday.") -ChronoView can trace the days that you work performed on a certain document. Alternatively, ChronoView can display a list of documents that have been opened frequently. This makes it easy to open documents that you use on a regular basis. ChronoView is shareware. Shareware program is a program provided at no charge to you for evaluation. You may share it with others, but you must not give it away altered or as part of another system. The evaluation period for ChronoView is 30 days. ChronoView will not function after 30 days unless it has been registered, which requires purchasing a license from West End Software. Requirements: West End Software ChronoView requires Microsoft® Windows 95® or Windows NT 4.0® or higher. It also requires the following 32-bit Microsoft® Visual Basic® 5.0, Service Pack 3 runtime files: Asycfilt.dll Comcat.dll Ctl3d32.dll Msvbvm50.dll Oleaut32.dll Olepro32.dll Stdole2.tlb These files are included in the complete setup package (ChrVwFul.exe). They are not included in the special version of the setup package (ChrVwNVB.exe) for users who already have these files. You MUST use the complete version of the setup program if your computer does not have these files installed. License: Please read the file License.wri. Registration: West End Software ChronoView can be registered for US$29. There is no additional charge for upgrades. Registration is available through several sources: 1. On the World Wide Web, set your browser to http://www.wesoft-online.com/ and follow the ordering directions. The registration fee can be charged to any major credit card via PsL, a credit card order service. 2. On CompuServe, use the Shareware Registration service (GO SWREG), Registration ID 16921. The registration fee is charged to your CompuServe account. 3. Complete the order form in Order.txt and fax it to PsL at 713-524-6398. The registration fee can be charged to any major credit card. Registered users of West End Software ChronoView receive a license number and user name via electronic mail, or via postal mail if no electronic mail address is provided. Although unregistered copies of West End Software ChronoView are fully functional, a message box is displayed each time objects are instantiated. Setting the LicenseNumber and UserName properties of the Application object with a valid serial number prior to instantiating objects eliminates the message box.
