Welcome to SuperFlash! SuperFlash is an educational program design to simulate flash cards used in grade school to help kids learn basic math. However, SuperFlash is so versatile it can be used by anyone who wishes to sharpen thier math skills. SuperFlas randomly chooses two numbers and displays them in large, easy to read font. The layout is meant to look just like the flash cards used in school. The user types in the anwer and presses enter. If correct, the program praises the user using sound files. If the answer is incorrect, the program says "Try Again", and the user types in another answer. The program will continue displaying numbers until the user selects Exit from the menu. The score is shown at the top of the card. Four types of math operations can be selected:addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division. The level of difficulty can also be selected by adjusting the range of numbers used in the operation. To install SuperFlash, unzip all files in the zip file to c:\suprflas, then execute SUPRFLAS.EXE. NOTE: This program requires that your system uses Arial True Type font. Windows comes with this font, so for most this is not a problem. If your system does not have this font, the flashcard dialog box will look very small but still function. The arial font is included in the zip file in case you don't have it. Just copy ARIAL.FOT and ARIAL.TTF to c:\windows\system. You may need to install the font by running the font program in the control panel. This program uses wave files for sound. For best results, you should have a sound card capable of playing standard windows .wav files. This program is shareware. If you like this program, you can register it by sending $10.00 (check or money order) to ISC 275 Knox Park Rd. Lake Zurich, IL 60047 When you register your program please include any features you think would be useful - I am very interested in making this program a useful educational tool for all ages.
