TimeSheet Filler v1.6 ------------------------ Fed up with the weekly (annual?) ritual of filling in time sheets, trying to work out what you did the past week and get it to add up to the right total? TimeSheet Filler helps to automate that process, automatically remembering your name, department, employee code, and your regular codes and descriptions. It will also automatically work out the period of the last sheet, and set the start and end dates for the next time sheet. TimeSheet Filler can produce a full printed timesheet, complete with signature box. Alternatively, you can export it to a file or paste it to the Windows clipboard, in a variety of formats: CSV (for spreadsheet and database input), plain text, and HTML (World Wide Web Format). Saved files are automatically saved with a datestamp filename, and any such file saved in CSV format may be reimported back into TimeSheet Filler. From v1.32, TimeSheet Filler remembers the last sheet you were working on - ideal either for finishing it off, or using it as a model for another sheet. Hit the 'Clear Rows' key to remove the old information. Apart from this auto-save, sheets may be exported and imported as required - this procedure can also be used to update the saved code-list from an import file. Most of the controls are standard Windows, and obvious in their use. A couple of less obvious tricks are:- Double-click on the total hours box to adjust the hours for each code up or down to reach the target hours specified in the setup window. Double-click on the start date to move back one period (default 7 days) - autoadjusts based on elapsed time since last sheet Double-click on the end date to move forward one period (as start date) Enter part of a description into the description box, and TimeFill will automatically find the nearest matching code and use it. A tip bar at the bottom of the screen provides some reminders of these quick shortcuts. The setup box can also be used to delete unwanted codes, and to switch on automatic code capitalization. There is also an option to switch on or off the link between codes and descriptions - if the link is switched off, then any code may have any number of descriptions; if switched on, then TimeFill will automatically store a description for each code, and automatically fill in this value as soon as a code is entered, and obversely, fill in a code when a partial description is given. Timesheet Filler has an automatic pop-up mode. To activate this, select a Popup Interval from the set up screen. This can be "Off", to switch off popping up, "Hour" to pop up on the hour, "Quarter" to pop up on the hour and at 15, 30 and 45 minutes past the hour, "Half" to pop up on the hour and at 30 minutes past. Alternatively, enter any number here to make Timesheet pop up any number of minutes since the last occasion. After filling in a code, Timesheet can then be minimized - when it is ready to popup it will automatically restore the window to normal size, beep, and pre-enter the default time interval into the input box. The INI file which keeps all the values is, by default, stored in the directory TimeFill is launched from; to specify a non-standard location, for example if sharing TimeFill on a network, put the directory path as a parameter in the Command Line box of the Program Item Properties dialog box. E.G. timefill.exe p:\personal If you like it... ------------------- You'll be acquainted with the concept of shareware, where if you like a product it's hoped your conscience will prick you into paying for it ( usually with the help of suitable reminder screens). TimeSheet Filler works a little differently - if you like it sufficiently to wish to pay something for it, then send a donation to help not just your own conscience, but a prisoner of conscience too, by helping the work of Amnesty International. There are no beg screens: it is hoped that the knowledge of people suffering tortue, solitary confinement or execution for the simple exercise of their human rights, should be enough incentive. If there are older versions of these files on your path, these may interfere with TimeFill and should be removed in favour of the current releases. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rhizomatics ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rhizomatics specialize in producing internet tools for Lotus cc:Mail. Current products include :- Emptor: an external mail preprocessing gateway which has many rules for filtering and monitoring mail, plus support for sending attachments thru the CompuServe mailhub, and for encoding mail before transmission and decoding mail received. ccQWK: an import gateway for QWK packet mail into cc:Mail. Provides an inexpensive means of accessing UseNet news, plus gives access to dozens of BBS e-mail networks. Incoming mail may be colourized, filtered, and RFC headers minimized. Supports MIME unpackers. Tristero: a full ListServ / majordomo style mailing list manager for cc:mail. May act as a list server in it's own right, or as a client offering cc:mail bulletin boards to cc:mobile and internet subscribers, or as a client to remote internet lists. Sophisticated access and security control, mail filtering, archiving, file uploading, downloading and searching and mail digests. Tristero is integrated with the cc:mail ADE system, and can automatically subscribe/unsubscribe users to its own and cc:mails mailing lists.
