Background ??? Shortly put: None! ... if you mean my formal edb-education!

I'm an educated teacher and have taught middle school (10-15 years of age) for
about 15 years before starting as a vendor. I do have some years experience as
fanatic PC-user and 4-5 years as halfpro and later fullpro diskvendor collec-
ting, reviewing and distributing sw/pd programs for my (danish) customers ...
and I'm not sure it would be an advantage for reading this if I had a more
formal education as I do try the magazine readable for all (and in my experi-
ence too formally trainees aren't the best pedagogues (try to read the Dos
manual) and sometimes they know too much or assume too much ...

As I wasn't satisfied with other disk vendor descriptions I decided after some
time that I could do a better job myself by making more precise descriptions
of the programs and reviewing these personally if possible, did so and got in
 business ...

In Addition I started to make small booklets/folders for further info and last
year this developed into the danish 'ShareWare-Bladet' ... at first standing
over the photocopyer to make about 500 copies of each volume (40 pages each)
and mailing! Was soon tired of this and discovered the excellent lille program
'Writer's Dream' from Another Company which in 5 minuttes makes a nice con-
trolled magazine out of all your texts if they are written in ASCII - wrote to
the autor and got the permission to use Dream for the magazine ...

Next step was to release the magazine for the danish bbs-users in the fidonet
as I figured that it couldn't hurt me (or my business) if they read and could
 use the program ...

The program was well received and as volume 8 (last number = 7/92) was under
edition I got a request for an english version ?! And following this the maga-
zine will from now on be written in english ...

... it's too much to say to the magazine will review ALL new shareware and
publicdomain programs as the channels of the Lord (and programs in the pd
area) often are difficult to reason out - so let's make a more realistic one:

'to review all new program that comes to my knowledge during a month'

 - that's it! AND even as I must admit that Denmark is not the center of the
universe and the roads of sw/pf-program somtimes are mysterious there can
sometimes be delays in their reaching the small town of Gedser where I live
(for the curious: Gedser is the most southern town in Denmark situated on the
smaller island Falster) ... and as the sw-market is still growing exponential-
ly I will of course not claim to mention everything ...

 - but as I do get many program directly from authors through connections built
in the last couple of years and every month all new ASP-programs I guess that
the programs mostly are fully up to date ...

The best new programs and bigger updates will be reviewed and all other pro-
grams of quality will at least get mentioned in the fact sections with this
 month's news and updates ...

If the programs or some of them interests you and you cannot find it/them by
your normal channels then try to contact the closest ASP-approved vendor as
there's a big chance that he may be able to help you ...
