The EXAMPLES sub-directory contains two board examples which can be
routed using the batch router. To route the DECADE example, first load
the initial board artwork using the LOAD command in the FILE menu.
Then click over the PROCESS menu and click on BATCH ROUTE. When
the dialog box appears, Enter "decade" for the netlist name and click
on the ROUTE button. After a delay, the board will start routing, and a
bargraph display will show the progress. You can also see the traces
being routed on the screen. When the routing is complete, a dialog box
will show the percentage complete. A 2nd box will appear asking if you
want to optimize; click over the OK button for this. In the optimization,
the software minimizes the via count by switching traces from one layer to
another, provided there are no crossing traces.

Once the board is optimized you can smooth the trace corners with arcs
or 45 degree traces, by clicking over SMOOTH in the PROCESS menu.

The second example MULTI is a 4-layer design example. To try it out,
first load the initial board artwork, and set the drawing scale to
50% in the SETUP menu; this way you can see the whole board. Next,
click over the PROCESS menu and BATCH ROUTE. Enable the first 4 layers
in the BATCH ROUTE dialog box when it appears. Also, set BURIED vias
in the via section. Enter "multi" for the netlist name. Then click over
the ROUTE button. As before, a bargraph will show the routing progress.
At completion you can also optimize and smooth the traces as before. Note
that in this case, you do get some NOROUTES, which should be handled by
manual editing. The manual editing is done before the smoothing step.
